Rio de Janeiro, Brazil—

Rio de Janeiro has come to be infamous for police brutality and drug-related violence that often befalls the city's youth. The media organization "Cinema Nosso" was originally conceived of by City of God's Fernando Meirelles, in part to combat these negative stereotypes and harsh realities. "Cinema Nosso" pulls at-risk youth from surrounding favelas into downtown Rio to study the art of film, free of charge.

Yet in an ironic twist, the students discover that the very organization masquerading as their golden opportunity may have an agenda of its own, using their presence at the studio to garner funds for the NGO.

Follow four young Cariocas through the streets of Rio as they struggle to overcome these obstacles in order to pursue the Cinema.

Tomás Falquiero, one of the four students, has passion and a plan. All he needs now is the help he feels he's been promised by Cinema Nosso.
